Logan Weemala 2018 Pinot Noir, $20

You might be surprised to know that Orange is one of Australia’s highest and coolest wine regions, and this, coupled with its rich volcanic soils, makes for elegant wines with delicacy and depth. That’s why Logan Wines’ Weemala Pinot is such a beauty, all velvety and smooth with notes of sweet red berries and an ever so slight earthiness. Weemala is both an Aboriginal word for “good view” and the name of the vineyard in the central ranges of NSW. It’s a fitting description for a lovely vineyard producing a lovely wine.
