Leconfield 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, $35
Sydney Hamilton established Leconfield Coonawarra in 1974 and released his first Cabernet in 1976, quickly establishing a reputation for its expression of Coonawarra terroir. 2017 was a low-yielding, early-ripening vintage and the resulting wine has elegance and finesse, along with fine tannins and a rich complexity. It will easily sit alongside hearty, robust dishes.
