Leconfield 2018 Coonawarra Chardonnay, $26
Regardless of what’s going on in the world around us, life is sweet when there’s a good Chardonnay on the table. This elegant, barrel-fermented Chardonnay has a huge amount of flavour and finesse, with a lovely crisp, refreshing finish that really hits the spot during languid afternoons on the balcony while self-isolating. With stonefruit characters and a little nuttiness, it pairs beautifully with salmon, chicken and light meat dishes. Cellaring it for four or five years will likely add some further richness too.
