Newly opened Chop Chop Surfers Paradise recreates the hawker centres of Asia. Located in the laneway linking Surfers Paradise Boulevard to Orchid Avenue, next to the Hilton Hotel, it has a variety of outlets doing Asian-style street food.
Watch the chefs prepare curries, ramen, noodles, dumplings, fried chicken, desserts and other favourites from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Bali, China, Vietnam, Malaysia and India. You can either dine in or takeaway.
The precinct launched on Friday night with cocktails crafted by Asian-fusion bar, Bangla Road, along with lion dances and other festivities, coinciding with the Lunar New Year.
If you love the vibrancy of Asia’s lantern-lined laneways, you’ll enjoy this little taste of Asia on the Gold Coast, just one block from the beach and Cavill Avenue.
