2013 Wild White, $18
How wild do you like your white? It’s fun, isn’t it, to kick back with a wine that has a bit of cheek, a bit of spunk, and this one has that in spades. From the funky label featuring a cross-eyed bull to the blend (Semillon, Chardonnay & Verdelho) to its strong character (a bit of fruit sweetness coupled with plenty of zesty acidity), Wild is the cheeky younger brother of Hunter Valley label, Krinklewood. It comes from a biodynamic vineyard and has vibrant notes of passionfruit and citrus. The winemaker recommends drinking it with panko-crusted flathead fillets but really it would make a great combo with almost any light summer dish. Go wild!
