Eileen Hardy 2017 Chardonnay, $118
I’ve always loved this wine. It’s the flagship white from Hardy’s and is one of Australia’s benchmark Chardonnays. It never fails to deliver. Made with fruit from cool-climate Tasmanian and Yarra Valley vineyards, it has remarkable elegance and finesse. Despite being quite bold and full-bodied, the oak and acidity are very harmonious, with delicate citrus and peach notes. It’d go beautifully with seafood, pasta and chicken, but frankly, I’d drink it with anything.
