Spicers Peak Lodge to celebrate end of isolation
Enjoy a celebratory getaway at Spicers Peak Lodge.

Many people have had their birthday, anniversary, babymoon, honeymoon or other special plans upset or put on hold over the last few months. But now that restrictions are easing and we can travel a little further afield – woo hoo! – Spicers has introduced some lovely ‘Birthversary’ packages to help us celebrate after coming out of isolation.

Each of the Retreats is offering a different package so it is worth going to the Spicers website to see what’s available. To give you a taste of what’s on offer, here are some suggestions for a catch-up celebration.

Spicers Hidden Vale Driveway
A luxurious rural escape at Spicers Hidden Vale.

In south-east Queensland, we’re blessed with a few great options. Having visited Spicers Hidden Vale just before the lockdown and seen how beautiful the new homestead is, we can highly recommend its two-night package ($1,178). It includes a 3-course set menu dinner on one night in Homage restaurant, daily à la carte breakfast and barista made coffee, wi-fi, a tour of the market garden, Wildlife Centre tour and 2-hour bike hire.

Spicers Peak Lodge has awesome views of Queensland’s Scenic Rim. Its 2-night package ($2,398) includes all the usual inclusions of the Lodge’s ‘All Inclusive Getaway‘ as well as wi-fi, stargazing, self-guided Champagne look-out walk and 30-minute massage per person.

Spicers Tamarind Retreat to celebrate end of isolation
Spicers Tamarind Retreat: the perfect venue for a catch-up celebration.

Spicers Tamarind is an Asian-inspired Retreat in a gorgeous setting fringed with rainforest. Its 2-night package ($1,498) includes either a BBQ dinner pack or a 3-course set menu dinner on one night, daily à la carte breakfast and barista made coffee, and 30 minutes in the hydro pool.

We might not be able to go to Provence right now but Spicers Clovelly Estate is a lovely alternative. Its 2-night package ($1,198) includes a 3-course set menu dinner on one night at The Long Apron restaurant, matched wines with dinner, daily à la carte breakfast and barista made coffee, wi-fi, and a sunset cheese board on the lake deck.

In Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, Spicers Balfour is offering French bubbles, as is Spicers Potts Point in Sydney. In the Hunter Valley, the Spicers Guest House package includes dinner in its modern Italian eRemo restaurant, while Spicers Vineyards Estate includes a gourmet picnic for two and dinner at award-winning Restaurant Botanica. In the Blue Mountains, Spicers Sangoma Retreat includes all meals, drinks and a wine and watercolour painting experience.

Prices quoted are for mid-week stays for two people, with additional charges for weekend stays. This is not a sponsored post; we’re just sharing the love and hoping that people will start planning regional getaways again. Be sure to check with your local health authority for the most up to date Covid-19 information.
